BALM822 is a free, faith-based virtual support group created to give participants a confidential, judgment-free space to process, heal, and grow — in community. Grounded in the belief that healing doesn't happen alone, the program runs as a 13-week series meeting every Thursday from August 20 through November 12, 2026, with each 90-minute session held online via Zoom.
Rather than functioning as clinical group therapy, BALM822 offers a warm, faith-grounded peer support space rooted in care and evidence-informed practice. Each week's session is built around the BALM822 Workbook, giving the group a shared structure to work through together. Because the same group of participants meets consistently across all 13 weeks, the format is designed to build trust over time, creating a steady, familiar space that makes deeper reflection and honest sharing possible. The series is facilitated throughout by Dr. Darshan Nicole Williams, PhD, and Laverne Fitchett, APC.
BALM822 is open to anyone seeking faith-centered support for their mental and emotional health — no diagnosis or prior experience with support groups is required. It's intended for people who want a compassionate, community-based space to talk openly about what they're carrying, alongside others walking a similar path. Organizers are clear that BALM822 is peer support rather than a substitute for professional therapy, medication, or crisis intervention, so it suits those looking for ongoing communal encouragement rather than clinical treatment.
