Point One Pitchuj Startup V. is an evening of live startup pitches hosted by Point One, the business incubator of the Czech University of Life Sciences Prague (ČZU). The "V." in the title suggests this is the fifth edition of the series. The teams on stage are nominated by three sources: Point One itself, the Central Bohemian Innovation Centre (SIC), and the Faculty of Forestry and Wood Sciences (FLD ČZU). The lineup therefore mixes startups from the incubator, the regional innovation ecosystem and the university's own faculties.
The heart of the evening is a pitching competition, where each team presents its idea to the room. It isn't a spectator-only event: the audience votes for an audience award winner, so everyone who attends has a say in who comes out on top. Around the pitches there is time to network, meet the people behind the startups and talk with other attendees. The event is held in English, which makes it easy to join for international students and anyone who prefers not to follow along in Czech. Free parking is available.
The organizers welcome students, entrepreneurs, startup enthusiasts and anyone simply curious about innovation. You don't need a startup of your own or any prior experience to attend. Watching early-stage founders pitch is a useful way to see what a pitch involves, and the networking built into the evening makes it easy to start conversations. Entry is free, with registration required.
