Gaudeamus Praha 2027

Gaudeamus Praha is the 19th edition of the European fair of post-secondary and lifelong education. It takes place every January in Prague and is part of the Gaudeamus series of education fairs, which also runs in Brno, Bratislava, Nitra and Košice. The fair brings together more than 380 universities, colleges and other education providers, including over 70 foreign universities. That makes it one of the easiest ways to compare study options in one place before choosing what to do after secondary school.

What to expect

Visitors can walk the halls and talk to schools directly, and every ticket includes a printed and an electronic catalogue of the exhibiting schools. Two lecture halls run talks all day, and each talk ends with a quiz with prizes. There is an advisory service with a testing centre and career counselling for visitors who are still unsure which direction to take. A dedicated centre covers studying abroad, especially in the United Kingdom, and schools from around the world exhibit as well. The interactive “Science for Life” exhibition adds a hands-on side. The Gaudeamus Guide mobile app helps with registration, school listings, the lecture schedule and a map of the halls.

Who it’s for

The fair is mainly for secondary school students deciding where to study next, and for anyone considering further or lifelong education. Teachers and school counsellors have a dedicated pedagogical centre with lectures, seminars and consultations, and they get free entry after registering.
