IT Futures 2026

About the event

IT Futures calls itself the largest IT career festival in Austria and the only one in the country focused exclusively on jobs in the IT industry. Over two days it brings together more than 50 companies across 5,000 m² and over 2,000 participants, with the stated mission of closing the gap between tech talent and the companies looking for it. It is meant as more than a trade fair. Companies use it to share know-how and show their latest projects, and visitors use it to explore where their careers could go next.

What to expect

The program centres on 35+ tech talks from industry experts covering current IT trends. Around them, the festival runs a Coding Contest where attendees can test their skills against others, and a Women in IT Zone, a lounge space for networking and exchanging ideas with women working in tech. Side Quests add a lighter layer: fun challenges, practical career hacks, games and small extras to take home. Throughout both days, the focus is on direct conversations with employers who are actively hiring, plus networking with industry leaders and peers.

Who it’s for

The organizers say everyone is welcome: students, trainees, career changers and established IT professionals. They particularly encourage people thinking about training, retraining or switching into IT. Whether you are job hunting or simply want a day of IT inspiration, the format is built so you can drop in, explore and talk to companies directly. The venue is fully barrier-free.
