Changing your email or password
Why an email change needs confirming from the new address, and how to reset a password.
Both live in the Security tab of your account.
Changing your email
Enter the new address and save. We email a confirmation link to the new address, and nothing changes until you open it.
Until then, your account keeps working on the old address — that is still the one you sign in with, and it is what the Security tab shows, alongside a note that a new address is waiting to be confirmed.
This exists to stop a typo locking you out. If you enter an address you cannot reach, the link never gets opened, and your account carries on as before.
If the confirmation link has expired, start the change again from the Security tab to get a fresh one.
Changing your password
Use the password option in the Security tab. It sends a reset link to your current email address, and you set the new password from there. That means a change always requires access to your inbox — someone who finds your screen unlocked cannot silently change your password.
New passwords must be at least 8 characters.
If you signed up with Google
You do not have a Lumind password, and there is nothing to reset. You sign in through Google, and your password lives with Google.
