Networking visibility
The opt-in profile fields for meeting other attendees — and their current status.
Your account settings include a Networking section: an opt-in switch plus a few short fields about yourself.
What it collects
The switch — "show my profile to other attendees" — is off by default. Nothing here is filled in or shared unless you turn it on yourself.
With it on, you can add:
- What you can help others with — one short line, up to 120 characters
- What you are looking for — same
- A LinkedIn URL — validated as a real LinkedIn profile link, so a mistyped or unrelated address is rejected rather than silently saved
Current status
Be aware of where this stands: the attendee-facing side is not live yet. Nothing on Lumind currently displays these fields to other people — there is no "who's going" list on event pages at the moment. So filling them in today prepares your profile rather than publishing it.
We would rather say that plainly than let you fill in a bio expecting it to be visible somewhere it is not.
Turning it off
Switch it off and the fields stop being shared. You can also clear them entirely, which removes the values from your profile rather than just hiding them.
What is never optional
Buying a ticket always shows your name and email to that event's organizer, regardless of this setting. They need it to run the event and to contact you if something changes.
