When a payment does not go through

Declined cards, tickets stuck on Pending, and events that are not accepting payments yet.

The card was declined

Declines come from your bank, not from Lumind — we only see that it failed. Common causes are an expired card, insufficient funds, or a bank blocking an unfamiliar or cross-border payment. Try another card, or approve the payment in your banking app if it asked you to.

"This event isn't accepting payments yet"

The organizer has not finished connecting their Stripe account, so there is nowhere for your money to go. Nothing is wrong with your account. Save the event and try again later, or ask the organizer when they expect to be ready.

"Something went wrong with the payment processor"

A temporary problem reaching Stripe. Use Try again — nothing has been charged.

The payment went through but the ticket says Pending

Your ticket is marked paid once Stripe confirms the charge, which happens a moment after payment rather than instantly. Pending for a few seconds is normal. If it is still pending after several minutes, check My tickets again — it usually catches up on its own. If it does not, and your bank shows the charge, contact us with the event name and the date you bought it.

Nothing was charged and no ticket appeared

Then the checkout did not complete. Nothing is reserved and nothing is owed — start again from the event page.

The tier sold out while I was paying

Capacity is checked when checkout starts. If the last spots went in the meantime, the purchase is rejected rather than oversold, and you are not charged.
