Events sold on the organizer's site
Some events are listed on Lumind but ticketed elsewhere. What that changes for you.
Organizers choose how they sell. Some sell through Lumind; others keep their own ticketing and just list the event here so people can find it.
You can tell them apart at a glance. An event sold on Lumind shows a list of ticket tiers with Buy buttons. An event sold elsewhere shows a single panel headed Secure your spot, with the note "Tickets are sold directly by the organizer — the button below takes you to their ticket page."
What is different
- Buy ticket opens the organizer's site in a new tab. Everything after that — the payment, the confirmation email, the ticket itself — happens on their platform.
- The ticket does not appear in your Lumind account, because Lumind never issued it. Keep whatever the organizer sends you.
- Refunds, name changes and questions about the ticket go to the organizer, not to Lumind.
- If the event has a registration deadline, the panel counts down to it and switches to Sales closed when it passes.
When there is no button
Occasionally an event is listed with no ticket link yet — the organizer has not published one. The button is disabled and the page says so plainly rather than sending you nowhere. Save the event and check back, or contact the organizer directly.
You can still save these events, and they still show up in search and recommendations like any other.
