Buying a ticket
The checkout flow for events that sell through Lumind, from picking a tier to landing on the confirmation page.
This is the flow for events with internal ticketing — the ones showing a list of ticket tiers on the event page. For everything else, see Events sold on the organizer's site.
- Pick a tier. Each tier shows its name, whatever is included, its price and — when stock is genuinely low — how many spots are left. Sold-out tiers stay visible but cannot be bought.
- Sign in. You need an account to buy. If you are signed out, you will be sent to sign-in and brought straight back to the same checkout afterwards.
- Set the quantity. You can buy up to 10 tickets of the same tier in one go. They share one payment but each becomes its own ticket with its own PDF. Once you continue to payment, the quantity is locked for that attempt.
- Pay. The payment form is Stripe's, embedded in the page. The price shown is the organizer's price; any applicable tax is calculated by Stripe on top at this step.
- Confirmation. A confirmation page shows the purchase and links you to your tickets.
Who you are paying
Payments go to the organizer's own Stripe account, not to Lumind. That is also why an event can only sell tickets here once its organizer has finished connecting Stripe — until then the event page says it is not accepting payments yet.
Your ticket is marked paid by Stripe a moment after the payment clears, so the confirmation page waits for that before showing your PDF. If it takes longer than usual, the ticket still appears in your account on its own.
