Becoming an organizer
The four-step setup that turns a normal account into an organization that can publish events.
An organizer is an organization on Lumind — a student society, a company, a community, a university department.
Anyone with a Lumind account can become one, and it is free. From your account page, use Become an organizer. There is no application to wait on and no approval step — you are an organizer the moment you finish setup.
The four steps
- Basics. Your organization's name and a short description. Both are required, and both appear on your public profile and next to every event you publish.
- Branding. A logo (any image up to 5 MB) and gallery photos for your profile (JPEG, PNG or WebP, up to 20 MB each). Both are optional, but a profile with neither looks unfinished to people deciding whether to trust you with a ticket price.
- Story. Two optional free-text fields, up to 500 characters each: how you approach the events you run, and how your organization got started.
- Review. Everything on one screen before you submit. Any step can be edited from here.
After setup
You land in the organizer dashboard, and a Dashboard link appears in the header. Your personal account does not go away — you keep saved events, tickets and settings exactly as before, and can move between the two from either page.
The next two things worth doing are connecting Stripe, if you plan to sell tickets on Lumind, and publishing your first event.
