Connecting Stripe
Setting up payouts so your events can sell tickets on Lumind — and what "connected" actually means.
To sell tickets on Lumind you need a Stripe account connected to your organization. Buyers pay that account directly — money does not pass through Lumind first.
Setting it up
Start from your dashboard. You are handed to Stripe's own onboarding, hosted by Stripe, where you enter your business or personal details, identity documents and bank account. When you finish, you are returned to Lumind.
Stripe creates the account for you; you do not need an existing one.
Two different states
Being connected is not the same as being ready to charge. Stripe often creates the account immediately but holds off enabling charges until it has verified your details — sometimes minutes, sometimes days, depending on what it asks for.
Until charges are enabled, your events cannot take payments, and buyers see "This event isn't accepting payments yet." If onboarding stalls, restart it from the dashboard; Stripe picks up where you left off and tells you what it is still waiting on.
Payouts
Stripe pays out to your bank on its own schedule, which you control in your Stripe dashboard. Lumind does not hold your money and cannot change your payout timing.
Disconnecting
You can unlink Stripe from Lumind at any time. This only cuts the link on our side — your Stripe account, its history and its past payouts are untouched, and you keep full access to them at Stripe. Note that reconnecting afterwards creates a brand new Stripe account rather than reattaching the old one, so disconnect only if you mean it.
